I used continuous line to capture my different facial expressions on this brief. I feel the continuous fluid movements track the contortions and various shapes fully illustrate the movement of the face.

This monoprint was captured from a photograph, further manipulation in Photoshop allowed me to add colour and texture to create a bright cheeky feel, reflecting the subject's pose well.

These screen prints were developed from a brief based on the Punk and Pop Art movements. I have explored a variety of fonts in order to illustrate the Punk Movement theme, resulting in a visually stimulating text based piece.

This book cover was developed from a Punk theme, I have manipulated primary source images, and used layering techniques to create the blend of Punk images.

This is an example of work i have produced from the life drawing classes we are offered at college. Here, I have used a variety of colours to create tone on the figure.

Stemming from the Cultural Journeys brief, I have edited primary drawings in Photoshop, experimenting with texture and symmetry, to create this image. This piece was chosen for reproduction on postcards to be sold at Platt Hall as part of the Stories of the World initiative. Museums and Galleries in the UK invited young people to reinterpret artefacts from their collections.

I developed the blade shape firstly in ceramic porcelain, and then in copper. The inspiration for this piece was taken from an Mongolian blade used in the 1950s. I feel the smooth polished medium of copper metal reflects the source well.

These heads are some of 25 created for a project in my first year. I have experimented with different techniques and materials in order to convey the brief of portraiture.

Taken from my sketch book, this personal development of Sculptural Textiles, inspired the techniques I was to use on my final piece.

This "Bee" was created from discarded materials I sourced on the streets of South Manchester, I decided to develop the creature into a bee to further reflect it's Mancunian roots.
